Frequently Asked Questions

What size are the panels?

Our Wet Wall panels are 2400mm X 1000mm x 10mm with Tongue and Groove joints.

What are they made of?

They are made of a sturdy extruded core vinyl material, which makes them much easier to work with than the brittle acrylic alternative.

Are they waterproof?

The panels are made with 100% non-porous waterproof materials and use watertight tongue & groove joins.

Can mould grow on the surface?

It is impossible for mould to form on the surface of our panels. Thanks to its material, the panels are super hygienic and very easy to clean.

How long will they last?

Our warranty lasts for 10 years. However, the panels will easily outlast this even with very little maintenance. A simple wipe down here and there will keep them looking good for many years to come.

How much do they cost?

Prices for our panelling will always vary. Currently, they start from anywhere between $149 – $279. Keep your eyes peeled for our non-stop collections of special offers and new products.

Can they go over tiles?

Yes, certainly. Just ensure the surface you’re covering is clean, dry, free from residue and doesn’t have any loose tiles.

Are they durable?

Yes, very durable. They are guaranteed to last for over 10,000 shower cycles.

Have they been around long?

Yes, they have been on the market for over 30 years and global demand continues to increase year on year.

Where are they made?

We have various manufacturers in the UK and Asia.

Will you deliver to me, even if remote?

Yes, we deliver everywhere in Australia as long as the truck say it’s possible. Just get in touch! If the carrier can’t make it to your property they will be made available for collection from the nearest depot to your location.

How long does delivery take?

Average delivery time takes between 3-7 days.

How are they packed?

Depending on quantity, we usually strap them to a pallet which is protected by a timber sheet on top. We do this so that they can travel safely to all parts of the country. The panels are lightweight (only 11kgs), so when they arrive you can simply take them off the pallet one by one. The panels travel very well, unlike ceramics that struggle with journeys to rural locations.

When can I book my installer in?

We advise that you wait until your panels arrive before booking installers, to save any trade cancellations.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes, we sure do. All orders containing over 8 panels qualify for free delivery.

Can I install them myself?

Yes! The panels have been specifically engineered to suit DIY projects due to the fact they are lightweight, easy to cut and install.

What happens to my warranty if I DIY?

You will still get the standard 10-year warranty. Just remember to follow the install instructions that are available online.

What can I use to cut the walls?

You can cut them with a sharp Stanley knife or hand saw, but a more efficient method is using either a circular saw or jigsaw. The material is non-brittle and cuts with ease, even if you have a non-straight cut. The trims are also very forgiving and can hide up to 10mm deviations.

Do I need joining strips to connect panels?

No, you do not. Thankfully our innovative tongue and groove joints remove the need for unsightly joining strips.

How quickly does it take to install?

It always depends on the room. However, a handyman should be able to install 10 panels within 1 day. It is then possible for them to finish off the remaining trim and silicone work within a couple of hours the following day. A 2-panel shower should take no longer than 1-3 hours.

Are they lightweight?

Yes, each panel weighs only 11kgs or 4.5kgs per metre squared.

What do I use in the corners?

We have internal corner trims/profiles. The benefit of using these is the silicone sealant is hidden inside, meaning mould cannot grow on the silicone, but the corners are still sealed. Alternatively, when tiles meet in a corner, you can use silicone if you wish.

How are the walls and floors connected?

When the walls meet the floors, they are silicone sealed – just like tiles – to make them watertight. We do have a range of trims where we can completely hide the silicone, should that be your goal.

Can I hang vanities from the Wet Wall panels?

Yes. Just like with traditional wall coverings, the strength to support it is always taken from the structure behind. Items are not hung from the decorative surface.

What trades would install these products?

If you’re not a DIYer, then any carpenter or handyman can install these products with ease.

Should I clean the mould off prior to installing?

Yes, all surfaces should be cleaned prior to installing. Don’t worry, it will be the last time you see mould 🙂
